Company History

Ban Chuan was founded in 1950s by Mr Yap Ban Seong (PJK, AMN, KMN) as a groceries store in the town of Bukit Mertajam. In year 1983, the company was handed over to Mr Yap Ean Sin, Managing Director after the departure of late Mr Yap.

In year 1995, Ban Chuan Enterprise Sdn Bhd was established and mainly trading in Machineries imported from Taiwan and distributing Industrial Petroleum Products - Diesel, Fuel Oil, Kerosene and Lubricants locally and outstation.

Even with its tremendous success, Ban Chuan remains a family- owned and -operated business. Because Senior Yap and Mr Yap Ean Sin also believes in giving back to their community, they donate and offer scholarships to Jit Sin Independent High School and SMJK Jit sin High School every year. Besides, Mr Yap also contributes in charity works and international relief at Tzu Chi Foundataion,

an international humanitarian organization and a prominent nongovernmental organization (NGO).
